A lovely session in proper winds at last. The first time my wave board and 4.5m sail have been on the water for a while. I was out on my own, so taking things easy, but still made some big jumps and some really nice fast gybes.

There was a really strong N-S current which occasionally made getting going on the inside a little difficult, and generally made staying upwind difficult too, but once out the back it was easy to gain a bit of ground so I returned to the same spot on the beach each time.

After a couple of hours on the water the wind started to ease a little so I packed up, just has Billy turned up. I told him to rig something a little bigger than I had been on, so he went out on a 85 litre board and 5m sail. he did Ok for a while, but ended up losing lots of ground downwind.

Certainly a session to blow the cobwebs away. Proper wind and waves, with the sun shining!!
